Brief guidelines for using moving text and type

Keep web pages simple to avoid over activity
Keep colours harmonious and relatively calm
Use few typefaces together unless you know what you want
Keep web pages functional with obvious navigation
Give good colour contrast for type
Add wit if possible
Aim for legibility and readability
Links are a distraction, keep them to the bottom of pages
Use an application such as Flash which gives a smooth, professional result
