The advertising business uses print to great effect and has joined in the creative urge for text. Artists also use text as in Fiona Banner's Arse Woman in Wonderland. Because the conventions of printing do not necessarily apply to the web there has been a freedom to experiment which has resulted in a plethora of tastes and styles. The typefaces Georgia and Verdana which were created for film are commonplace but do not print out well. Times New Roman which reads well from print, is not as readable on the screen. The perspective of text has altered with the use of 3D and VRML. Matthew G. Kirschenbaum who calls this Lucid Mapping says, "Functionally, it is both a text to be read and a space to be surveyed."
